A 50-year-old woman was arrested on charges of eighth-offense operating while intoxicated (OWI) among other citations after failing to stop at a stop sign at the intersection of Highway K and Harshaw Road in the town of Cassian.

The Oneida County Sheriff's Office and other law enforcement and ambulance services responded to a two-vehicle accident Monday afternoon shortly after 4:10 p.m. that resulted in multiple injuries. Deputies discovered upon initial investigation that a 2012 Chevy Impala, operated by Holly Wilson, was driving southbound on Harshaw Road when she failed to stop at a stop sign and was struck by a westbound 2007 Chevy Trailblazer, operated by 64-year-old Randy Towne. Also involved were a 4-year-old passenger in the Impala and 63-year-old Rosemary Fintelmann, passenger in the Trailblazer.

Wilson was transported via MedEvac to an area medical facility, while the other three individuals involved in the accident were transported to area medical facilities for their injuries.

In addition to the eighth-offense OWI, Wilson also was charged with operating while revoked, failure to install an ignition interlock device, possession of drug paraphernalia, and probation violation.
