Team Tennis Match Goes On Despite Rain
Thirty-three players on four teams from around the Northwoods came together to play tennis and share lunch and camaraderie during a match held Saturday morning. Rain showers came through early, causing wet courts that had to be squeegeed and blow-dried with electric blowers before play could resume. GERTA provided a lunch of sloppy Joes, chips and broccoli salad, while club members brought along various desserts and treats to share. Prizes were made up for the top two teams, and a 50/50 raffle was offered as well as other GERTA swag.
