Registration Open for Downtown Classic Car Show

Buff and shine your classic cars and trucks because the annual Eagle River Car and Truck Show is coming back to downtown for its 45th year this August and registration is now open.

Slated for Saturday, Aug. 23, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., the Eagle River Area Chamber of Commerce is looking for registrants who would like to showcase their muscle, classic and vintage vehicles in this free show that is open to the public.

Trophies will be awarded to show participants in various categories, including the People’s Choice Award. Cost to register is $20, and chamber officials expect more than 3,000 people to stop by the classic show.

"People who attend can enjoy beautiful cars and trucks in a gorgeous Northwoods atmosphere," said chamber Events Coordinator Dawn Geise. "And like any good car and truck show, this annual Eagle River event will have food, drink, music, and a day of family fun. A 50/50 raffle will also available."

Although there is no cost difference between advance and day-of registration, organizers encourage those interested participants to sign up early to secure placement in the show. Registration the day of the event will be open from 7 to 9 a.m. Judging will take place at 11 a.m., with trophies awarded at 2:30 p.m. in 16 categories, including Best of Show and People's Choice Award.
