Registration Deadline Thursday for Fire Department Benefit

Those looking to support the Eagle River Fire Department have until Thursday, May 20, to register for the upcoming Guns and Gowns Banquet.

The event is slated for Saturday, May 31, at Chef Rene's at the Inn in Eagle River. The third annual gala offers a formal night out with a sit-down, plated dinner and raffle prizes galore. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and dinner will be served at 7 p.m.

According to the department, the Eagle River Firefighters' Fund is the fundraising arm of the department, and all of the money raised stays within the community.

"Our department is dedicated to keeping our community safe, and we rely on the generosity of community members to help us continue to provide the highest level of service," the department said in a press release. "We hope you can join us in supporting our cause."

Each ticket comes with a door prize gift and the chance to win a number of prizes such as shotguns, rifles, pistols and more in the door prize raffle board.

A special pre-dinner special is also be offered. Patrons who purchase $100 worth of raffle tickets before the night of the event will receive a bonus $50 in tickets for select raffles, meaning a total of $150 in raffle tickets.

There are more than $20,000 worth of prizes that will be given out featuring shotguns, rifles, pistols, and a custom-built AR. Also back by popular demand is the ice-fishing game. For the ladies, raffle prizes include compact pistols, a one-night stay spa package at the American Club in Kohler, and much more.

"Please join us for a night of great food, fun and fundraising with the Eagle River Fire Department," the press release said.

Dinner options include Santa Fe chicken, steak with Burgundy sauce, or lobster Thermadore. Dinner tickets cost $150 per person, or a table of eight can be purchased for $1,500. A table purchase guarantees a gun and a chance to win exclusive prizes. All tickets will be handed out at the door the night of the banquet.
