Parade Rolls Through Downtown St. Germain
Area fire departments turned on their lights and blew their sirens as they went by, and businesses and groups decorated floats to take down Highway 70 that tossed out candy and freezer pops for young attendees. The Northland Pines Marching Band played its way down the street, and a number of floats sprayed water on the crowds to cool them off on the 80-plus degree day. In addition to the parade, the town also offered a jam-packed day of activities by the pavilion including live music, a craft show, children's play area, and demonstrations by local organizations. After, more live music was performed in advance of the fireworks show that took place at dusk.
