New Brews Aplenty to be Found at Up North Beerfest
Raise your glasses for the popular Up North Beerfest event scheduled to take place Friday and Saturday, June 13-14, under the big tent at Hi-Pines Campground in Eagle River.
Twenty-six breweries will grace the campgrounds on Saturday, serving up a healthy dose of pilsners, ales, stouts, ciders and more for festivalgoers at this event, hosted by the Eagle River Area Chamber of Commerce.
The event will kick off Friday night with Premier Beer Night, which is described by chamber Event Coordinator Dawn Geise as "a more eloquent tasting of hand-crafted beers." From 6 to 8 p.m., guests can take part in the special tasting with selections presented by 13 breweries showcasing beers that will not be available at Saturday's main event.
"We will literally be rolling out the red carpet for this evening – there will be live entertainment by Hijinx, a pulled pork meal and a special sampling glass for the showcased samplings for all to enjoy," Geise said. Tickets cost $90 for Premier Beer Night and can be purchased online at upnorthbeerfest.com.
On Saturday, June 14, Up North Beerfest will take place from 2 to 6 p.m. After receiving their souvenir glasses on the way in, guests can sample 2- to 3-ounce pours from 26 craft breweries from across the state, while enjoying live music performed by Hijinx.
Up North Beerfest will welcome back some tried and true breweries, including Tribute Brewing Company and Riverstone Brewing from right here in Eagle River, along with some first-timers. New on the beerfest stage will be Eagle Park Brewery, Mosinee Brewing Co., and Public Brewing. Old favorites returning to the event include Fox River Brewing, Bare Bone Brewery, and Some Nerve Brewing.
A complete list of participating breweries can be found online at upnorthbeerfest.com where tickets can be purchased for $60. Tickets also are available at the Eagle River Chamber of Commerce, Tribute Brewing, or Trig’s Cellar 70 Liquor Department in Eagle River. Tickets will be sold at $70 per ticket at the gate the day of the festival until they're sold out.
This is a 21 and older event, and children and pets are not allowed.
