Community members in Three Lakes have once again stepped up in a big way to support seniors heading off to make their way into the adult world.

Three Lakes Women's Club put on its annual scholarship tea earlier this month at the Reiter Center to celebrate strong, smart women from the 2025 graduating class and give them a jump-start for their future.

Since beginning the program, the club has handed out more than $100,000 in scholarships to graduating girls from Three Lakes High School.

Jennifer West, PR and communications director for the district and proud mom of one of the ladies accepting a scholarship, had this to say about what this means to students in the Three Lakes community:

"It's hard to explain the awesomeness of this event. It's a community of people supporting and lifting up students. It's small town at its finest. It's women extending a hand to welcome in a new generation. It's years of wisdom and experience mixed with all of the hope and uncertainty of those finding their own path forward.

Thank you, TL Women's Club. Not only for the support of our students monetarily, but for the anchor you've become in our community. We applaud the seniors who were honored today, but also the many women who continue to invest in this community. Well done to all."

The club raises funds for this endeavor with events throughout the year, including the upcoming golf scramble set for Saturday, June 7, at Big Stone Golf Course in Three Lakes. For $75 per person, patrons can take part in the nine-hole event replete with dinner and prizes.

A shotgun start is at 2 p.m., and registration includes use of a golf cart and access to hole events. To register and pay for your spot, stop into Big Stone Golf Course by May 30 or call 715-546-2100.
