Artisan Booths Available for Upcoming Craft Fairs
Artisans, creators and crafters are urged to sign up for the few remaining booths at the upcoming family-fun events, put on by the Eagle River Chamber of Commerce. Bringing thousands of people to the downtown area and beyond, these fests are a great opportunity for artists to share their Northwoods-themed, handmade pieces with the masses.
First up on the calendar is Saturday, July 19's Burger Bash, which promises to serve up tasty hamburgers and happy family memories at Rotary Square in downtown Eagle River, according to chamber Events Coordinator Dawn Geise. Held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., the family event boasts fun for all, offering music, the arts and crafts show, home-grilled burgers and beverages to enjoy. In addition, there will be a variety of backyard games to play such as cornhole, giant Jenga and more.
The second opportunity is the annual Labor Day Arts and Craft Show, slated for Sunday, Aug. 31, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Vendors will pack the downtown streets sharing a wide variety of creations with shoppers, while just over at Riverview Park the popular Eagle River Lion's Club Sausage Fest event will be slinging Oktoberfest brews and grilled brats.
These downtown events typically draw more than 4,000 to Wall Street.
Then, this fall, Cranberry Fest will return Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 4-5, to the Vilas County Fairgrounds. This popular Northwoods event celebrates the glory of Wisconsin's famous little red berry, serving up cranberry-themed snacks and samples, wine and beers, alongside a plethora of vendors. Drawing an estimated 45,000 attendees over the weekend, Cranberry Fest can be an excellent way to showcase your work.
All events are held rain, snow or shine. For more information on how to participate or to secure a booth, contact Geise at 715-479-6400 or email events@eagleriver.org. Show applications are also available online by visiting eagleriver.org/featured/eagle-river-craft-shows/.
