Area School Districts Graduate 175 Students

The 2024-25 school year is coming to an end for local districts as hundreds of young adults in the area turn the page from high school student to high school graduate.
Three Lakes and Phelps school districts held their ceremonies over Memorial Day weekend, with Three Lakes graduating 40 students on Friday night and Phelps graduating five students on Saturday.
Northland Pines will hold its graduation ceremony this coming Sunday, June 1, with 130 students walking the aisle and ready to take their leap into life's next stage. The ceremony will begin at 1 p.m. in the fieldhouse and is open to the public.
Seniors in Three Lakes did their annual walk-through of the elementary school late last week ahead of the graduation ceremony, showing the younger students where they'll be in a just few short years. It's also an opportunity for graduating students to say goodbye to the teachers that shaped and inspired them from a young age.
The end of the school year is a time when community support really shines as well, with groups, organizations and individuals awarding hundreds of thousands of dollars to graduating students in the form of scholarships and awards.
Northland Pines held its scholarship night earlier this month, awarding 55 graduating seniors more than $321,000 in scholarships. In Three Lakes, $139,150 in scholarships was awarded May 14, which included the Technical and Academic Excellence Awards, which come from the state, as well as the $123,400 that was provided by community groups. Phelps School District put on its awards banquet ceremony May 21 where it honored students of all ages for their academic and community achievements.
