A Few Booths Remain for Upcoming Craft Shows

The Eagle River Area Chamber of Commerce and Visitors Center would like to invite artists and crafters to display their Northwoods-themed and other handmade arts and crafts for sale at two of its upcoming events: the Labor Day Arts and Crafts Show and the 45th annual Cranberry Fest. A few booths are still open at each event.

The Labor Day Arts and Crafts Show is scheduled for Sunday, Aug. 31, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in downtown Eagle River. It showcases more than 80 arts and crafts booths and is held in conjunction with the city's downtown sidewalk sales and the Eagle River Lion's Club Sausage Fest being held close by in Riverview Park.

Cranberry Fest, held the first full weekend of each October at Vilas County Fairgrounds, is a fun-filled weekend with activities happening throughout the Eagle River community. "Everyone will enjoy more over 250 arts and crafts booths, delicious foods, fresh locally grown cranberries, flavored Craisins, cranberry beer and wine, marsh and wine tasting tours, vintage and antique show and sale, farmers market, musical entertainment and much, much more," said the chamber's event coordinator, Dawn Giese.

This year's event will be Saturday, Oct. 4, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Sunday, Oct. 5, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and draws an estimated 45,000 people to enjoy a day of shopping, samples and many other activities.

In addition to crafters, the chamber also is seeking vendors for the Cranberry Fest downtown sale slated for Oct. 4 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Farmer's market vendors or vintage/antique dealers are welcome to take part in the sale.

These events are held rain or shine. For more information on how to participate in the Labor Day Arts and Crafts Show and/or Cranberry Fest, contact Dawn Giese at 715-479-6400 or visit eagleriver.org/featured/eagle-river-craft-shows/.
